The AAMC will host a pilot Virtual Specialty Forum on Thursday, March 25th
Focused on providing equitable access to specialty exposure, this no-cost forum will enable medical students to interact directly with specialty representatives and AAMC staff and feature “live” events and Q&A sessions. The forum is targeted to first and second-year students, with content to enhance their clinical rotation experiences and specialty exposure to ground their career exploration and advising. Information and recordings will be archived and accessible to students who are unable to attend during the scheduled time.
- Date and time: Thursday, March 25th; 1:00 – 4:00 pm EDT
- Audience: Students early in their career (M1-M2) are encouraged to participate, though the event is open to all students
- Cost: There is no cost to participate
- Participating specialties: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Infectious Disease (a subspecialty of Internal Medicine), Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Pathology, and Radiology
